What We Do

The mission of the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Office Charitable Foundation, Inc is to assist individual employees of the Sarasota County Sheriff’s Ofice who are experiencing extraordinary personal or family need.

A well-honed granting process ensures that funds are deployed quickly, with the assurance of genuine need and qualification. Fund-raising activities will be limited to an annual giving campaign, and a sporting clays tournament each fall.

In the unfortunate situation where an employee of the Sheriff’s Office faces a crisis that is publicly reported, the Foundation will serve as the suggested recipient of donations from the community for the purpose of fulfilling its mission. Such donations are tax-deductible.

When an application is submitted, our Foundation Administrator will review and request copies of invoices for those items you need assistance with. If the grant application is approved, payment of those outstanding financial obligations will be paid directly by the Foundation. We do not submit a check to the applicant.
